Last week in Calgary, the Prince George Cougars waited until the sixth round to select their first two defencemen of the 2017 Draft. When it was their turn they drafted a pair of B.C.-born D-Men who played for competing hockey academies in British Columbia: Brody Gagno (Yale) and Gabe Shipley (Delta). Gagno was a teammate of Cougars first-rounder Tyson Phare while Shipley, interestingly enough was born in Prince George. Hear from the first two defencemen selected by the Cougars in 2017 below.
