Cougars Trim Roster Ahead of Weekend versus Kelowna

The Prince George Cougars have returned defenceman Peter Kope (99) to the Camrose Kodiaks of the Alberta Junior Hockey League, the team announced Thursday.

Kope, a fifth-round draft pick in the 2014 WHL Bantam Draft, had seven penalty-minutes in three pre-season games with the Cougars.

With today’s move, the roster now sits at 26 players: three goalies, eight defencemen and 15 forwards.

The Cougars are back on home ice this weekend, as they face the Kelowna Rockets in a doubleheader Friday and Saturday. Friday is Autism Awareness Night, and Saturday is Vegas Night. The Cougars and Treasure Cove Casino are teaming up Saturday to give away a roundtrip for two to Las Vegas; fans can enter to win at the game.

Tickets are available at the TicketsNorth box office, or online at www.ticketsnorth.ca
