Lakusta Attending Flames Development Camp

Joel Lakusta won’t have to travel too far this weekend to get a taste of an NHL camp. The Cougars defenseman and Sherwood Park, Alberta, product is attending Calgary Flames Development Camp this weekend at Winsport Arena in Calgary.

Lakusta, who’s entering his final season in the WHL, had a career season in 2017-18. The rear-guard set career highs in goals (9), assists (33) and points (42), leading all Cougars defensemen in scoring. In three seasons with the Cougars, Lakusta has amassed 12 goals and 61 points in 174 career regular season games.

The Flames Development Camp opens today with fitness testing and all on-ice activities begin Friday (July 6th,) with a scrimmage on Sunday morning to conclude the camp. Lakusta is among 41 prospects and one of 19 Free Agent invites. For more information on the Flames Development Camp, click the link below.
