Cougars 50/50 Society, Order Of The Eastern Star Donate $7,000 to BC Cancer Foundation

Prince George BC – The Prince George Cougars 50/50 Society, on behalf of the Nechako Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, recently donated $7,000 to the B.C. Cancer Foundation.

The Nechako Chapter volunteered at several Cougars’ home games throughout the 2021-22 season. The Order of the Eastern Star raises funds for projects that benefit many charitable organizations in our community, like the B.C. Cancer Centre for the North, Kordyban Lodge, the Prince George Freemason Cancer Cars, and the University of Northern British Columbia Bursary.

The local chapter of the Order of the eastern Star also raises money to purchase supplies to make and provide cancer dressings, which are free to any cancer patient in B.C. and the Yukon.

The members in this photo from left to right are, Terry Foulds, Bonnie-Jean Foulds, Jan Rivers, Greg Rivers, and Dianne Graham.
