Cougars Announce 2022-23 Home Schedule for Regular Season

Prince George BC – The Prince George Cougars are excited to announce and share the teams’ 34 game home schedule for the upcoming 2022-23 regular season.

Closer look at the 34-home game schedule
The Cougars are scheduled to play 68 games during the 2022-23 campaign, with 34 contests at CN Centre.
The home portion of the schedule features 24 weekend contests (nine on Friday, fourteen on Saturday, and one on Sunday).
Prince George’s longest home-stand of the season is four games, which occurs twice. The Cougars face the Tri-City Americans on opening weekend (Sep 23-24) and then follow it up with another two contests against the Kelowna Rockets (Sep 30-Oct 1). In February, the Cats will kick off the month with four games at CN Centre against the Victoria Royals (Feb 3-4) and the Kelowna Rockets (Feb 7-8).
The Cats will wrap up the regular season on home ice against the Kamloops Blazers (Mar. 25)
Breaking Down the 34 Home Games
Cougars vs. Division Opponents: 18 Games
- Five games vs. two teams/Four games vs two teams: Kamloops (5 Home), Kelowna (5 Home), Vancouver (4 Home), Victoria (4 Home)
Cougars vs. Out of Division Western Conference Opponents: 10 Games
- The Cougars will play their other non-division Western Conference opponents 10 times at home (Everett, Portland, Seattle, Spokane, Tri-City). The Cats will play two games each at home against the US Division.
- In total, the Cougars play 28 games against the Western Conference
Cougars vs. Eastern Conference Opponents: 6 Games
- Prince George will face off against six Eastern Conference teams to the CN Centre this season.
- The six Eastern Conference teams coming to the CN Centre are the Brandon Wheat Kings (Oct 12), Winnipeg ICE (Oct. 15), 2022 Rookie of the Year Brayden Yager and the Moose Jaw Warriors (Nov. 23), Connor Bedard and the Regina Pats (Dec. 2), Prince Albert Raiders (Jan. 28), and the Saskatoon Blades (Feb. 14).
