Cougars Win WHL Bantam Draft Lottery, Secure 2nd Overall Selection

The Prince George Cougars Hockey Club is excited to announce that they hold the second overall pick in the 2020 WHL Bantam Draft, which takes place on Wednesday, April 22nd.

The Cougars won the annual WHL Bantam Draft Lottery that was held this morning to move up two spots to second. Prince George had a 14 percent chance of winning the lottery.

“We’re ecstatic, there’s so many good players at the top of this draft class. To move up to second overall and select an elite talent is very gratifying and great for our organization,” said Cougars’ General Manager & Head Coach Mark Lamb.

Outside of picking second overall, the Cougars have two more first-round selections to start the Bantam Draft at 17th and 22nd overall.
