Five Cougars Alumni competing in Stanley Cup Playoffs

The Prince George Cougars have five alumni inside NHL “Bubbles” in Edmonton and Toronto.  Zdeno Chara (Boston), Brett Connolly (Florida), Dan Hamhuis (Nashville), Jansen Harkins (Winnipeg), and Martin Marincin (Toronto) have joined their respective NHL teams for Training Camp, ahead of the Stanley Cup Qualifiers.


The top four teams in each conference, based on points percentage, will play a three-game round-robin, and the No. 5-12 seeds will play in eight best-of-5 series. The winners of those series will advance to the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs against the four teams from the round-robinThe Stanley Cup Qualifiers begin August 1st in Toronto, Ont. and Edmonton, Alta.

The WHL has announced a Return to Play Protocol for the 2020-21 season with an anticipated start date of Friday, October 2. Details are available here.
