Game Recap: Farkas, Winterhawks shutout Cougars Saturday

Shane Farkas turned aside all 22-shots he faced, as the Portland Winterhawks shutout the Prince George Cougars 3-0 on Saturday night, at Veterans Memorial Coliseum. Jake Gricius scored the game-winning goal late in the first period, and Ryan Hughes and Jaydon Dureau added goals in the second period. Taylor Gauthier stopped 36-shots in a losing cause.

ROAD WOES:Saturday was the Cougars fourth-straight road loss. In their last four road games, the Cougars have been shut out twice. Their last road win was November 11thagainst the Vancouver Giants. The Cougars are now 4-7-1-1 away from the CN Centre. Saturday was the third time this season the Cougars have been shut out.
