Gauthier ‘B’ Prospect on NHL Central Scouting’s November Players to Watch List

Prince George Cougars goaltender Taylor Gauthier is listed on NHL Central Scouting’s November “Players to Watch List” for the 2019 NHL Entry Draft. Gauthier once again earned a ‘B’ rating, which indicates he’s a potential 2nd-3rd round pick in the draft. Gauthier retaining his pre-season ranking which was announced in early October.

In 14-games this season, the 17-year-old has a 5-6-1-1 record, sporting a 2.84 goals-against average and owns a .910 save percentage. Gauthier picked up his first career WHL shutout on November 3rd, stopping all 37-shots he faced in a 2-0 win over the Seattle Thunderbirds. In his last two starts, the Calgary, Alberta native has a 1.02 goals-against average and a .970 save percentage.¬†Gauthier is one of three WHL goaltenders to earn a ‘B’ rating and one of just six in the entire CHL.
