Season Recap: The Prince George Cougars are in their 26th season in the Western Hockey League. Through 60 games, the Cougars are 18-34-4-4 for 44 points, sitting ninth in the Western Conference. The Cougars trail the Seattle Thunderbirds by nine points for the final playoff berth in the Western Conference. The Cougars are 2-7-1-0 in their last 10 games. Prince George is 11-17-2-2 this season at home. The Cougars snapped a five-game home losing streak Wednesday. In their last five home games the Cougars are 1-3-1-0.

Last Game: The Cougars snapped their four-game losing streak on Wednesday, shutting out the Lethbridge Hurricanes 2-0 at the CN Centre. Taylor Gauthier earned his second shutout of the season, stopping 37 shots for his 14th win this season. Mitch Kohner (8) and Vladislav Mikhalchuk (12) supplied the offense. Kohner scored the game-winning goal two and a half minutes into the second period. Mikhalchuk added an empty net goal late in regulation. The power play was 1-3 and the penalty kill was 5-5.

Tonight: Tonight, is the Cougars 61st game of the season and their second-to-last home game. Tonight, is the seventh of nine meetings between the Cougars and Vancouver Giants. The Cougars are 2-4-0-0 through six games against the Giants this season. Prince George last beat Vancouver on December 17th (3-0) at the Langley Events Centre. The Giants have won their previous two games in Prince George on September 20th (4-1) and September 21st (5-3). The Giants have outscored the Cougars 20-12 in the season series.
